A social presence can be maintained and still go unwatched. That was Aventura. Feeds stayed current. They rarely moved people.
On October 21, 2021, the city handed PCG its entire Communications Department. We rebuilt the city’s voice around one conviction: the City of Excellence should be seen. The department’s own page today reflects nearly five years of that work.
Nearly five years in:
- Audience: 18,796 to 37,868 followers. Nearly double.
- Impressions: 3.87 million to 12.01 million. Roughly triple.
- Engagement: 116,000 to 505,000. Roughly quadruple.
- Video: 1,762,492 views, 24 times the 72,706 that came before. Instagram carried 1,429,901 of them, 46 times its own prior total.
The Instagram engine
Instagram was the deliberate bet. It went video-first and became the channel that carries the city.

46× the 31,024 views in the four-plus years before October 2021.
Per post, not just in total
Totals reward posting more. The harder test is whether each post still earns its place once the volume climbs. On Instagram it does.
Rates usually fall when a team publishes almost six times as much. On Instagram engagement per post rose instead, half again as high. That is why total engagement grew nearly nine times, not six.
The whole picture
Instagram set the pace. Here is the whole account behind it. Views, impressions, engagement, and output compare the PCG era with an equal window before October 21, 2021. Audience compares total followers the day we took over with today.
PCG era before, on the same bar
More video views since October 2021 than in all of the city’s prior social history combined.
Total followers across every city social account, including channels not charted below. The first 18,796 took more than twelve years to build, about 127 new followers a month. Under PCG the city added 19,072 in under five years, about 331 a month, more than two and a half times the prior pace.

Posts published. Twice the output, four times the engagement.
The figures on this page come from the city’s own Sprout Social analytics, exported August 9, 2026, covering the PCG era and an equal window before it. City totals count every city account.
Where the growth happened
Follower growth on the three platforms the strategy invested in, before PCG and since, on one shared scale.
6,320 → 20,014 followers, more than tripled.
4,489 → 7,675 followers. Video views 26,023 → 295,366. 3.44M impressions. 235,568 engagements, second only to Instagram.
405 → 1,700 followers. 89K impressions. A professional presence built nearly from scratch.
The investment went where it compounds: Instagram, Facebook, and video.
The real test
Since PCG took over Aventura’s communications, we have gone from simply existing to thriving. The best test isn’t the incredible metrics they can show us, but the way people stop me in the city and talk to me about what they saw on our social media.
Howard WeinbergMayor · City of AventuraIn the time that PCG has led Aventura’s communications department, we’ve seen massive increases in attendance at our city events and a tremendous uptick in the excitement around them.
Rachel S. FriedlandCommissioner · City of AventuraInfrastructure isn’t what gets people excited, but it is critical to the quality of life in every city. The videos and educational materials PCG creates to keep our community informed have generated genuine excitement around projects that would normally prompt a barrage of complaints. They make roads, pipes, and heavy machinery something to celebrate in Aventura.
Bryan PeguesCity Manager · City of AventuraI’ve spent my career in communications and media. My current venture is social media-focused. What PCG has done for Aventura has transformed the way our residents receive and understand information. They know how to grab attention and keep it. And they know how to deliver a message with impact.
